The Redfalls PS5 version was apparently canceled according to the co-director Harvey Smith (although a Microsoft spokesperson claimed that Xbox did not any games from PlayStation). This is also different from other Bethesda Softworks titles. That was just fine, and everybody who saw it thought it looked cool. At that time, realistically, we got to the level of real knowledge that it was the chemistry of our game. We just made it, so we didn’t receive any feedback from Microsoft about changing something. It’s not that we had something working and we only left it for a second. So, when this happened, the team was unenthusiastic and then it was like, Ah, Xbox, that was a simple thing. Unfortunately, Microsoft didn’t buy a studio before Hi-Fi Rush ceased in development. There was no Hi-Fi Rush PS5 version to cancel because it was not available at Microsoft. ![]() There was apparently no Hi-Fi Rush PS5 port in the works.Īccording to an interview with GameSpot, game director John Johanas explained that Tango Gameworks plans were not altered with 2023s surprising rhythm-based action game. However, Hi-Fi Rush wasn’t one of those titles because it had never a PS5 version to start with. Microsoft acquired ZeniMax Media so that some potential PlayStation ports had the axe. ![]()
